A Day of Conversations and Headshots with CDW
Last week, I packed up the studio and headed to CDW’s Cherry Hill, NJ office for a team headshot event — one of those days that reminds me why I love this work.
The event was organized by Adobe as a team perk, and from the moment I arrived, the energy was upbeat but relaxed. Twenty-five people filtered in throughout the morning — some excited, some nervous, with a few saying something like, “I hate getting my photo taken.” (It’s basically the soundtrack of my job.)
My setup was simple: a gray backdrop, a full studio lighting kit, and my usual prep work; QR codes for sign-ups, proofing links sent directly to participants, and a system that keeps the admin side off the client’s plate.
But the real work happens in front of the camera.
“Thanks for the conversation.”
One person thanked me afterward — not only for the photos, but for the conversation. Those are the moments that stick with me. As an introvert (well, maybe an ambivert on good days), that kind of feedback means a lot. I work at this. Before every event, I prep questions, think about how to connect quickly, and remind myself that my job isn’t just to create a good image — it’s to help people feel like themselves long enough for that image to appear.
By the end of the day, the CDW team had a full set of new, professional corporate headshots ready for review — no messy coordination, no waiting weeks for results. Their contact told me later how smooth everything felt, which is exactly what I want to deliver: A streamlined, personal experience that makes teams look their best without disrupting their day.
So if you’re a Greater Philadelphia Area business planning a team headshot day, that’s what I bring — lighting, direction, and a system that takes care of the details. You just show up, shine, and get back to what you do best.
Schedule a consultation and let’s talk about bringing a headshot event to your team.
You’re amazing. Let’s show the world.
